Characteristic Analysis on Fluid-Structure Interaction for Hydraulic Turbine


Abstract: The talk will address the following topics: i) Modal analysis of hydraulic turbine runner in air and in water with gaps/seals, ii) Dynamic stresses calculation of the runner under unsteady pressure fluctuation, iii) Modal analysis of runner during cavitation, iv) Case study: (a) Fatigue crack propagation prediction of high-head Francis turbine during blade channel vortex. (b) Resonant characteristic evaluation of the pump-turbine runner. (c) Dynamic response analysis of bi-directional tidal turbine.
