Mohamed Farhat received MsC from INPG (Grenoble France) in 1986 and a PhD degree from EPFL (the Swiss Institute of Technology) in 1994. He then joined the R&D department of Hydro Quebec in Canada, from 1994 to 2000, as senior researcher, in charge of various research activities related to hydropower production. Since 2000, he is head of cavitation Research Group at EPFL Laboratory for Hydraulic Machines. His research is mainly focused on Cavitation & Multiphase Flows, Fluid-Structure Interaction, Free Surface Flows, Hydrodynamics of Turbines and Pumps, Bioreactors and Hemodynamics.
